Questions
The questions we actually get asked.
Including the ones where the answer is no. If something you need is missing here, ask us directly — an honest no on a call costs you ten minutes, and a hopeful yes costs you a pilot.
- It is built for structural steel erection — PEB and industrial. The workflows assume part marks, shipper lists, marking plans, cranes and an erection sequence. If your work is concrete, fit-out or general civil, this is the wrong tool and we will tell you so on the call.
- Yes, and it is the core of the system. For any mark you get what was ordered, which vendor it is against, every date a delivery arrived and how many came, anything sent back to the factory for correction, every date it went up, and the balance still owed at each step. It is answerable from any screen by asking for the mark.
- It holds drawings with revision and GFC/superseded status, and it reads your marking plan to colour each mark by what the site has actually reported. What it does not do is detailing or design — it does not produce fabrication drawings, and the chain it tracks begins at the approved shipper list rather than at the drawing.
- Yes. Lists are uploaded per phase and approved before anything can be received against them. Revisions are diffed against the previous version, so a re-issue does not orphan what has already been delivered or erected. Keep mark names stable across revisions — renaming a mark between revisions is the one thing the diff cannot follow.
- Yes, and connecting them is the point. The factory works production status, vendor allocation, QC review and dispatch; the site receives against the same list and erects against the same marks. Access is by module: a company without the Factory module has nobody who could open a factory screen.
- The site experience is mobile-first and installs to the home screen. Progress, material intake, machinery, manpower, hindrances and NCRs all queue on the phone when there is no signal and replay when it returns. It does still need the engineer to open the app — it is a system of record, not a sensor network.
- It is built — load planning against live tonnage, an over-capacity warning, a loading list with signature lines, and dispatch status feeding site receipt. In honesty: no customer has yet run their dispatches through it. The site-receipt half is heavily used; the factory-dispatch half is proven in testing, not in the field.
- Yes. Users are assigned to projects and switch between them; executives see the portfolio rolled up. Multiple companies are isolated from each other at the database layer. Being straight with you: the platform runs one live project today, so multi-project is architecture we have built and tested rather than scale we have operated.
- Reports, registers and the audit log export to Excel, CSV and PDF from inside the app. A complete extract of everything — every table plus the photo store — is something we run for you on request rather than a button you press. If you leave, that extract is contractual: 30 days from the end of the agreement.
- Two real ones. The app reads your packing lists and your hour-meter photographs, which is what removes the typing at the gate and at end of shift. And there is an assistant you can ask questions of. It is deliberately constrained: it may not answer from general knowledge, only from what it can look up in your project, and the figures it shows you are rendered from the lookup itself rather than written out in a sentence.
- You correct the record, and every view that derives from it moves together — the daily report, the bill line, the cost per tonne, the marking plan and the KPI. There is no second copy to update. The original entry is not overwritten; the audit log keeps it.
- Setup is our work, not yours: we configure your company, load a real project with your lists and drawings, and train each role separately, because a site engineer and an executive need different things. Timelines depend on how many phases and drawings come with you, so we scope it against your actual project rather than quoting a number here.
Security questions are answered in more detail on the security page, including what we do not have.
Still the fastest way to find out: show us a project.
Half an hour, your own drawings, and an honest answer about whether it fits.
